Herb Stripper

Seems that herb strippers are very trendy right now. I have been getting lots of requests for this handy little herbal device.

Now if you know anything about the pottery I make, you would of course ask me to make an item such as an herb stripper. I mean really, how many potters regularly make butter keepers, mortar and pestles, citrus reamers, coffee pour-overs, berry bowls, and other kitchen items that serve a very specific tool like function.

I really enjoy cooking and I like to have handmade tools that not only function well but also put a smile on my face as I am creating a delicious meal for family and friends. When I cook I chop up lots of fresh herbs from the garden, but I must admit I had never heard of an herb stripper until a few months ago when people started to ask me if I make them.

There were quite a few iterations before I decided on the final design. It has a flat back, with a larger hole so it can hang on a hook, which is a bonus feature I thought it should have!

I will have these new herb strippers at my Holiday Open Studio and Seconds Sale on December 6th - 7th, 10-4 both days. I also hope to get some on my website shop page soon.
