Asparagus Valley Pottery Trail Goes Online, Videos, A Tour the Nine Studios, Shop Virtually

asparagus valley pottery trail

I have been busy doing a little video project, (A Virtual Studio Tour, AVPT Potters) documenting the nine host potters of the Asparagus Valley Pottery Trail.

Since we can't have our pottery trail in person this year the potters were wondering how we can make it feel like you are visiting our studios. I had this idea to make a video of all of us... well in that process of making a video it dawned on me to make nine very, very short videos, so it would feel like you are visiting with each potter. I took two days to film each potter, and about twice as long to edit everything. It was such fun, and so good to get out and about visiting my potter friends.

Below is the one minute video I did of myself. You can watch the other 8 videos on Vimeo.

Our online virtual Pottery Trail begins May 30th 12 noon EST. until May 31st midnight. The Asparagus Valley Pottery Trail is one of the nation’s longest running events of its kind. We are moving our 16th annual tour and sale online in response to current public health restrictions.

This year’s event will launch Saturday, May 30 at noon EST and run through Sunday, May 31 via the Trail's website: www.apotterytrail.com.  From the safety and comfort of your own home, you can shop the rich and varied range of wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramic goods from the online shops of 23 potters.
